Aftercooler

Water cooled Aftercoolers for consistent performance.

Since ambient air is used for air compressors, the presence of moisture is inevitable which can spell disaster for sensitive pneumatic and air handling equipment. The water vapor content at 100oF of saturated ambient air is equal to about two gallons per hour for each 100 SCFM of compressed air.

ADAMS' Aftercoolers cool the air or other gases to the desired temperature and condense the water vapor present in the stream. ADAMS aftercoolers are water-cooled for consistent and predictable process control and performance. Unlike competitive air cooled units, that typically can only cool within 20oF of the highest ambient temperature, ADAMS aftercoolers can cool air or gas streams to within 2oF of the cooling medium. More efficient cooling means less moisture downstream, thereby protecting pneumatic equipment. In addition, this helps dryers work more efficiently.

ADAMS also supplies Cyclone Separators downstream from the aftercooler to remove the condensed moisture and other contaminates, such as rust and pipe scale commonly found in air or gas distribution systems.

ADAMS separators easily mate with ADAMS aftercoolers making installation quick and easy. The SLB series aftercoolers feature an integral separator for compactness.
